The objective of the "Uzbek Journal of Medical Science and Education" is to create a scientific platform for the exchange of advanced knowledge and research results in the field of medicine and medical education. The journal focuses on publishing works that contribute to the development of medical science and practice, as well as improving the qualifications of medical workers through postgraduate education. The journal aims to facilitate the implementation of new methods of diagnosis, treatment, and disease prevention into medical practice in Uzbekistan and the international community.

The journal aims to become a major source of up-to-date scientific information for scientists, clinicians, educators, students of medical universities, and specialists undergoing postgraduate education programs. Its mission is to support the professional development of medical workers and contribute to improving the quality of medical care through the publication of innovative research and practical recommendations.

Journal Tasks:

  1. Support for advanced research in medicine: The journal is focused on publishing articles that reflect the latest achievements in various fields of medicine, such as cardiology, oncology, neurology, surgery, infectious diseases, and others. One of the key aspects is the promotion of interdisciplinary research and the provision of a platform for the discussion of innovative scientific research results.

  2. Development of postgraduate medical education: The journal will provide content aimed at improving the qualifications of medical professionals, including articles that reflect modern teaching methods and new approaches to education in medical universities and postgraduate education programs. This also includes publications that help doctors enhance their competence in diagnosis, treatment, and disease prevention.

  3. International cooperation and global knowledge exchange: One of the key tasks of the journal is to create a platform for international cooperation between scientists, clinicians, and educators. The journal will publish materials not only from local authors but also from researchers from different countries, which will ensure the exchange of scientific achievements at the international level and increase the citation of materials.

The "Uzbek Journal of Medical Science and Education" adheres to an open access policy, which means that all articles published in the journal are available for reading, downloading, and use without financial, legal, or technical barriers. The journal follows the principles of free dissemination of scientific knowledge, supporting global access to high-quality scientific research.

  1. Free access to articles: All materials published in the journal are available for free reading and downloading from the moment of publication. Readers can freely view, copy, distribute, and use articles for scientific and educational purposes, provided proper attribution is given.

Disclosure Policy and Conflicts of Interest

1. Authors' Responsibilities:

  • Disclosure of financial and personal interests: Authors are required to disclose in writing any information regarding funding, sponsorship, or other forms of support that may lead to a conflict of interest. These factors include:
    • Receiving grants or other forms of financial support from organizations that may have an interest in the research results.
    • Direct involvement or financial ties with commercial organizations related to the content of the article (e.g., acting as a shareholder, consultant, or employee).
  • Indication of funding sources: The article must clearly state the source of funding and its role in designing, conducting research, data analysis, or preparing the article.
  • Formulation of conflict of interest: All authors must include a section titled "Conflict of Interest Disclosure" in the article, describing any potential conflicts of interest or indicating the absence thereof.

2. Reviewers' Responsibilities:

  • Transparency of conflict of interest: Reviewers must notify the editorial board if they have any conflict of interest that may affect their objective review of the article. This may include:
    • Personal or professional relationships with the article's authors.
    • Financial gain related to the research results.
  • Refusal to review: If the reviewer believes that they cannot objectively evaluate the article due to a conflict of interest, they are obliged to refuse to review it.

3. Editors' Responsibilities:

  • Prevention of conflict of interest: Editors are required to avoid reviewing articles if they have conflicts of interest that may affect their objectivity. In the event of such a conflict, the article should be transferred to another member of the editorial board.
  • Disclosure of personal interests: Editors must disclose any personal or financial interests that may affect their decisions regarding the publication of articles.

4. Resolution of conflicts of interest:

  • In the event of a conflict of interest being discovered after publication, the journal will take appropriate measures, such as publishing a correction, disclosing the conflict, or, in extreme cases, retracting the article.
  • Any conflicts of interest discovered at any stage of the publication process will be reviewed by the editorial board for objective decision-making.

Plagiarism and Borrowing

The editorial board of the journal "Uzbek Journal of Medical Science and Education" may conduct a review of the material using the Antiplagiarism system during article consideration. In the case of numerous borrowings, the editorial board will act in accordance with the COPE rules.

Preprint and Postprint Policy

During the submission process, the author must confirm that the article has not been published or accepted for publication in another scientific journal. When citing an article published in the journal "Uzbek Journal of Medical Science and Education", the publisher requests that a link (the full URL of the material) to the official website of the journal be provided.

Articles previously posted by the authors on personal or public sites not affiliated with other publishers are eligible for consideration.
